Weekly Notes

On February 22nd members were shown how to set up small groups. It was an ideal opportunity in advance of upcoming events such as First Communion, confirmation etc to get into the correct mode. Tips were given on the do’s and don’ts when trying to get a pleasing shot. The session provided great entertainment.

Our thanks to the members who acted as models during the evening, they performed splendidly. As usual the ones with all the talk failed to volunteer.

We also had the submission of prints for our “Still Life “competition.

Well done to J.J.Fogarty who has risen over €1000 through sponsorship in aid of Conquer Cancer. He volunteered to have his hair dyed last week in support of the worthy cause.

On March 7th we will have another session on Photoshop. Members are welcome to raise any photographic query which will be duly addressed.

A reminder that the next competition is based on action shots as the theme is “Movement/Sport” so keep the eyes and camera on the ready!

Jim who had been employed at the Ballyduff branch had amassed a service almost totaling forty five years. We heard at first hand from the management staff an account of his loyal and dedicated service during his very long tenure. We wish Jim every good wish, health and happiness in the years ahead. He is currently one of the longest members in our club and once again he has always been very generous with his co-operation to fellow members.
